About Me

Hi there, I’m Rea—first-generation farmer, widow, mama, and follower of Jesus, rebuilding life one muddy bootstep at a time here at Cackleberry Hollow.

I grow heirloom produce, make small-batch jams, and care for a little herd of Jersey cows (with horns, of course). Life took a hard turn when I lost my husband, Scott, but I’m still here—living, loving, grieving, growing—and learning to move forward with grit and grace.

This blog shares glimpses of farm life, faith, grief, creativity, and the messy beauty in between. You’ll find recipes, stories, old-school skills, and the occasional flash of white puppy zooming through the chaos.

Thanks for stopping by. You’re always welcome at the Hollow.
